Jalin has opened its first European manufacturing and operations hub in Barcelos, Portugal, marking an important milestone in the company’s continued international growth.
The new facility is Jalin’s first operational entity in Europe and its first independently operated manufacturing, warehousing and distribution facility worldwide. It represents a significant investment in strengthening our capabilities and giving us greater oversight across the entire garment production and fulfilment process.
Why Portugal?
Located in northern Portugal, Barcelos sits at the heart of one of the country’s most established textile and garment manufacturing regions.
Portugal has a long-standing reputation for textile craftsmanship, supported by a highly skilled workforce and an established manufacturing ecosystem. For Jalin, this combination of expertise, craftsmanship and innovation made Barcelos a natural location for the next stage of our growth.
The new operation allows us to bring these strengths together with Jalin’s design-led approach to luxury uniforms, while building greater flexibility and control into the way we manufacture and deliver garments to clients around the world.

Designed to support both bespoke and scalable uniform programmes, Jalin Portugal expands our end-to-end operational capabilities across manufacturing, warehousing and distribution.
By bringing these functions into our own operation, we can increase production flexibility, strengthen quality assurance processes, improve inventory management and create greater efficiencies throughout the production and fulfilment lifecycle.
It also represents an important step in Jalin’s vertical integration strategy, giving our teams greater oversight and consistency from garment production through to final delivery.
